Dan and Rhys Jacobs and Kev Manning have been Team Sapphire since the start, working on anything from small renovations and pub fittings to large extensions and loft conversions.
Dan's vast experience allows him to skillfully project manage anything Sapphire take on to achieve a high-end deliverable for the customer.

Working in the Carpentry and Joinery trade since 1994 and progressing through Level 3 City & Guilds Carpentry & Joinery as a Cabinetmaker, Dan has too many credentials for paragraphs so here they are!
- Run Workshop and Construction sites
- Kitchen Company Cabinetmaker
- Cabinetmaker with Heritage Pine Furniture
- Charge Hand for Top-End Bespoke Office Cabinet Furniture
- Joinery Workshop Foreman for a Damp-Proof Company which often proves very useful!
- Foreman and then Workshop manager for Shop Fitters where he made and installed top-end Shop Fittings for shops like Costa Coffee and Lovisa
- Joinery Manager and Site Project Manager at Turners Construction and Renovation
- Constructed his own Loft Conversion!
Dan's work is everything to him so he decided to put his experience and skills to good use and start Sapphire and he's not looked back.
What Dan loves the most is to be able to help customers achieve their vision.
Whilst Sapphire enjoy a good solid project - loft conversions, extensions, garden buildings, garden offices, shop, pub and restaurant fittings, Dan doesn't shy away
from the medium size work such as kitchens, wooden, laminate or vinyl flooring, decking and landscape gardening.

Kev Manning
Kev enjoying a well-deserved break from the comfort of a skip!
With a change of career several years ago, Kev joined Sapphire and loves to see a project through from beginning to end. Kev is hard-working and whilst he loves a cup of tea he's always keen to get going and get the job done and is a friendly chap to have around the house while you're having work done.
Rhys Jacobs

Rhys has been training and learning from his dad Dan for many years since leaving school and has been working for the family business Sapphire since the start. He likes to be busy, works hard and loves to learn.
Trusted Traders
Architect
Depending on the size of the project, a building project often needs drawings and Sapphire work closely with CJS Architectural Design Services based in Sittingbourne. Colin Seymour at CJS
will normally do a site visit and do both 2D and 3D drawings. Drawings will satisfy council requirements if required, for example for Permitted Development Rights or Planning Permission and allow you to visualise your project whilst giving a great basis for Sapphire to start work!
Electrician
Dan has worked with Andy Sutton at Deal Electrical Contracting Ltd since 2014 and will always use Deal Electrical as first choice for electrician on Sapphire Construction and Renovation Ltd projects.
Plasterer
Dan has worked with Dave Canfield at DCA Plastering Ltd since 2009 and will always use Dave at DCA as first choice for plastering on Sapphire projects. Dave and his
team did all the plastering on a recent loft conversion project including the very technical stairwell pictured above which was opened out along with the landing as part of the project.
Roofer
A Constable Ltd Roofers have worked with Dan at Sapphire for many years. Pictured above doing the roofing for a recent Sapphire loft conversion. Tiles were removed from the roof to allow the steels to be hoisted in through the roof. The original tiles were cleaned and relaid on the full height dormer with new tiles cut to sit on the corners. No small job excellent attention to detail!
Painter and Decorator
A hard worker with attention to detail, Andy Chawner is an excellent decorator for interior or exterior painting, pictured hard at work here working on the exterior woodwork and can often be found on Sapphire building projects.
New Look Tiling
Sapphire has partnered with New Look Tiling this year whose tiling is second-to-none. Luxury bathroom pictured here with floor tiling, shower tiling, tiling around the bath and a vanity unit tiled splashback.
Airecare Air Conditioning
A recent trading partnership with Airecare Air Conditioning which lots of projects now need! This was a unit installed as part of a recent Sapphire loft conversion as the customer decided to do this as an add-on.
QuickWaste
Windows and Doors
This project had French Doors and Glass Side Panels supplied and fitted by trusted partner Trade 2 Trade Windows, opening out onto the juliet balcony.

Dan and his team at Sapphire love to rise to the challenge with whatever Justin and his team at The Cow Shed throw at him. From traditional building work to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen and bar to rag-rolling, decorating, reclaiming and upcycling, you name it Team Sapphire are up to the challenge!
Sapphire work at both Cow Shed locations, often working through the night to allow business to continue, The Cow Shed at The Ship Inn Ospringe Faversham and The Cow Shed Bar and Grill in Birchington.
